Stood at the end with a sign, a lot of cars park near the end so you can ask around and use the sign or a thumb at the same time. After 30 minutes a turkish guy took me to a gas station after Frankfurt. Pretty good and lots of traffic.―stepanfoj

Two guys hitchhiking to München. We got a lift to Regensburg (north of München). We were picked up after a while by a nice lady heading to Austria. We stood by the on-ramp to the autobahn. It’s not a perfect place for the drivers to pick you up, as they can easily block traffic, but if there’s a will there’s a way.―Ledan

the lady in the petrol station was really nice and gave me a free mini pizza :-) tried signing from the end of the stop for about twenty minutes and then the first people i asked for a lift took me to nurenburg. lots of trucks stopped here leaving frankfurt and the car park was nearly full.―Leslie

All the truck drivers were either resting or having a break of 2-3 hours, so I had my lunch here, ended up having barbecue and vodka with the Ukrainian truck drivers and then after that found an Afghani couple heading to Frankfurt, who had never heard of hitchhiking but who were happy to take me.―Anonymous

it’s a very good spot. Many card heading to the East and South. There are mostly German card but also Czech and Polish. Worth a shot. There are a few reataurants so people stay for a quite long time. Higly recommend!―Monomisia

Direction Nürnberg, Passau, Wien/Vienna best spot in Rhein-Main. The BurgerKing help a lot, because a lot of people stop here. Sometimes I wait for max a hour, sometimes just seconds. But I look everytime for plates minimum to Nürnberg because there is a next perfect gas-station―Anonymous

Waited very long time to get a ride direction Kassel - it was impossible and I gave up and walked to the train station in Hainstadt which was screwed as well as trains pass only every two hours. Maybe on weekdays with trucks it's better.―Moritz0711

I'm not fully sure this is the place I got a car towards Koln at, but it it's Rest-stop Weiskirchen, then it is :) I waited for two hours here with a sign that said "Koln-Nijmegen" and then a bunch of punks stopped for me. The place is good (2 hours is just my luck), lots of traffic to Belgium and the Netherlands, as well.―Tomasmarc
